These dogs are easily trained and are good-tempered, and affectionate. They have a short undercoat with a wiry topcoat. They are very muscular and racy. Border's have a head similar to an otter. Male borders range from 13-15 1/2 pounds , Females from 11 1/2 - 14 pounds when used in a hardworking condition. overall these dogs get along with everyone and all animals. They love to play and run.
